You could learn that in less than a week, especially if you were able to find some Youtube videos to help guide you through the pouring process. The internet is a great way to take advantage of some free training and tips for all sorts of things.
Another way to break into the biz is to start with a bar or restaurant in a lesser role, and then move through the ranks. Many establishments prefer to hire from within anyway, so this is a great way to get started.
